2026 Mountain States District Conference

Friday – Sunday, September 25 – 27, 2026

Longmont Buddhist Temple

606 Pike Rd, Longmont, CO 80501

Theme of the conference: CULTURE, COMMUNITY, & CONNECTION: Living with our values in today’s modern world

The Mountain States District Conference takes place annually as a meeting of the members of the BCA Mountain States District: Honeyville Buddhist Temple, Longmont Buddhist Temple, Ogden Buddhist Church, Salt Lake Buddhist Temple, and Tri-State/Denver Buddhist Temple. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet, share, and develop with other Jodo Shinshu Buddhists from the region. This year, it is just up the road in Longmont, and all TSDBT members are encouraged to participate!

The main activities will be held on Saturday, September 26th, at Longmont Buddhist Temple with a closing service on Sunday, September 27th, at the Tower of Compassion at Kanemoto Park: 1151 S Pratt Pkwy, Longmont, CO 80501. The full agenda is available on the registration page, and the registration fee is $50.

In our world that is ever expanding to include various viewpoints, how do we stick to our core values while honoring others?

  • Archeologist and Cultural Anthropologist, Mike Kimball will apply his expertise in discussing this theme.
  • A brief Tai Chi session to release stress and hone our focusing practice.
  • Activities to connect to our community, such as hiking, exploring Boulder or discovering downtown Longmont.

We hope that each person can walk away with a better understanding of how to hold on to the Dharma’s teachings when the rocky road of life occurs.
